My name is Gareth Lloyd.

I am an Infrastructure Architect with over 10 years experience working in London in the public and private sector environments on large infrastructure programmes, implementing a variety of Enterprise best of breed products.

On this blog you will find posting on some of the technology I work on, on a daily basis including products from VCE, EMC, VMware, Cisco, Citrix, Microsoft and Trend Micro.

I have an insatiable appetite for the latest technology and am always looking for new and exciting contracts – if you have a large infrastructure project which requires someone to consult and lead on, contact me.

Born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa with a BCom (Information Systems) from the University of Cape Town and a couple of certifications from VMware, Microsoft, EXIN, Citrix, EMC, etc.

I’ve been passionate about IT since I first learnt to program at the age of 6 in BASIC on a BBC Micro B, later progressing to running my own bulletin board ‘Scorpio BBS’ in Cape Town at the age of 12, which ran RemoteAccess and Frontdoor for Fidonet mail, later setting up the first website for my school in 1996.
